Zappos Must Have Flats

Sunday, August 23, 2009 0
Four inch heels are not the typical wear for climbing hills while hauling heavy bags. With the fall semester just around the corner, flats are the most proficient pick for footwear. There's no fun in decorating your feet with band aids and squirming with pain at the sight of blisters. So give your feet a break and walk through campus in stylish, cheap(ish), designer flats! Granted they may not be from the new collections but with savings like the ones Zappos.com offers it's hard to pass up the deal. Heck, you can even get multiple pairs.

Dress For the Cause

Friday, August 21, 2009 0
As soon as the Rock the Vote campaign was launched, celebrity's splashed the slogan on t-shirts and marched the red carpet to show that they really did want to help a cause. Naturally with tabloid material wearing these shirts, the public caught on and followed the trend. Designers and retail stores have also established clothing lines which help donate to a certain cause. Being a good Samaritan never looked so fashionably good.

Back to School

One fall essential for everyone's wardrobe, a blazer!
I always loved Gossip Girls outfits and now with blazers hitting the clothes racks, I can go through old episodes and remake the outfits.
Where to buy?
Urban Outfitters has plenty of new blazers that will look good paired with a graphic tee and acid washed jeans and booties.

The Long Dress

Friday, August 14, 2009 1

I was used to the summer maxi dress as a signature for well-dressed mid 30's women but this summer it took over all stores. This dress paired with nicely polished and simple sandals gives a very classy look in the sun. Summer is coming to an end soon but the dress will still look nice for the beginning of fall adorned with a thin cardigan.

Cheap and Chic Must Have

Sunday, August 9, 2009 0
Forever 21 has up to date cute styles and unique branching lines with contemporary looks or high fashion inspired looks. The fabrics usually only last a season but for the price (usually $25 or less per article of clothing) it seems forgivable. Forever 21 Twist has come up with a new line presented as Cirque 21. These pieces mimic a circus costume chest specializing in lace, bows, and pleated trimmings. Hurry into your local Forever 21 while the line is being promoted. In a couple of weeks the line will only be available at select stores and online. I recommend that you do find the nearest location selling this line so you can try on the clothing before purchasing what looks nice on a computer screen.

Studded Items For Cheaper Deal

Friday, August 7, 2009 0
Tory Burch will just have to hold off until I acquire the necessary funds for that studded purse. Today I spent the night at City Walk and stepped into Guess only to find a much cheaper studded purse to feed my fix. I purchased the Angie Full Flap handbag in Natural which evens out bright colored outfits and is a subtle pop for neutral colored outfits. (FYI= Apparently this is the only location which sells this style in blue in the greater LA area.) I suggest you buy your studded accessory from Guess if you want to save money in your pocket. The bag is made of partial suede and has gold-tone studs along the trace. This purse is an excellent size to fit your essentials yet not intended as a book bag.

Here are more studded handbags that don't dent your wallet. These are studs in general and not the squared pyramid studs which are shown more in designer wear. Unfortunately I was quite unsuccessful with finding such studs for very cheap.

Dolled Up

Classic looks to keep throughout the seasons. Lips and cheeks in Rouge. Don't be afraid of the bold color based on skin tones there's always a perfect shade for everyone. This make up always gives an outfit a little edge and makes a face look very doll like. I absolutely love it.

Lipsticks that go with every skin shade as featured on the Tyra Show.
